I planned to do this later in the year, but my overclocked 900mhz 560 Ti was discontinued so I snapped up another. I'd read that you only get a 1.6x improvement at best with SLi, but a couple of testers were reporting 1.8-1.9x which made it worth doing. By my reckoning It would cost more to buy a single card with better performance.
- The good: EVERYTHING ROCKS through this. Crysis1&2 and FarCry2 are smooth as you like with everything on 11. Battlefield 3 will be incredible, as will Rage. Best value I've found to get this performance.
- The bad: More small fans equals more noise when the cards warm up, but I tend to play in headphones.
This is my last PC expense for a while. I'm not sure the diet of bread and water is doing me any good...
